A talk by Pedro Gomes
All Images Are Transfers is a talk by Pedro Gomes in which his modus operandi and the exploration of uncommon materials in his working practices are an excuse for discussing the condition of the image in the present day. The talk was presented in the context of the programme B-Side, developed in tandem with The Peepshow – Artists From the EDP Foundation Portuguese Art Collection, which focused on the informal side of artists and aimed to create space for a more casual relationship between the artist and the public.

Pedro Gomes is an artist living and working in Lisbon. He has an MFA from the Chelsea College of Art (London) and concluded the Advanced Course in Visual Arts at Ar.Co, Center for Art and Visual Communication (Lisbon). He recently held an anthological show entitled “Blind Date” at MNAC – Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea in Lisbon. His work is in several public and private collections, in Portugal and abroad, such as the Calouste Gulbenkian, Lisbon; António Cachola Collection, Elvas; MUDAS – Madeira Contemporary Art Museum; PLMJ Foundation, Lisbon, and also the EDP Foundation Portuguese Art Collection, Lisbon.
